OTN Update and Stitch Markers

Here are my Kool Aid Socks, so far.

Someone (No names mentioned) (Nancy) about a stitch marker exchange, and the different kinds of markers. I already owned a set of Polymer stitch markers, and already tried some basic markers. These are my first experiment with the clay. More soon.

OTN Update:

• Kool Aid blank is near completeion.
• Wild Foote is still being worked on at work, but nearing finish.
• BMP Socks is on hold, just have not had time.
• Working on a diagonal scarf. Almost done
• New Sweater, just started Saturday. Still on the first row of the pattern, after the rib row. One pattern row is 5 complete rows, RS and WS. It is a open, buttoned sweater, but I am doing it in the round. More details soon.
  

More Socks

After reviewing my blog, I realized I did not post pictures of finished socks.



These are my first sock blanks.


Here are my Coriolis Socks. It is not easy to see, but the coriolis. There is a line on each foot that starts near the top, goes through the heal, and wraps around the leg.

New socks

The picture does not show you the work of my lace knitted leaves. I do promise to get more pictures.

On the Needles:
Working on my BMP (That's their name on Knitty). I'm in the middle of a Riverbed Arch.
Working on a pair of Wild Foote socks. I'm in the early stages of a Upriver Arch.

Working on my Ornament Exchange for my partner in Crafter's Haven. No pictures allowed, because my partner knows about my blog. I will post pictures after she receives it.

Two more sock blanks are on oreder and being shipped. I need to find more Kool Aid.

OTN Sock Update 2

Here are my Coriolis Socks. It is not easy to see, but the coriolis is the line that goes up the sock.

These are the beginning of my Country Fall Sock Blank.

Both sock Blanks, using the Riverbed pattern.
A medium blue pair, using the Coriolis pattern.

Both are Cat B.'s (Bordhi) using New Pathways for Sock Knitters.

Socks on Blockers

Here are my socks:

1st and 2nd - Mom's early Socks.
3rd - One of my first socks, Cuff Down. One prior pair MIA, another OTN, and first one had Single sock syndrome.
4th, 5th, 6th (and Closeup) are Toe-up.
7th - House socks, Toe-up with Cat B.'s Cuff
Last - Patriotic Sock, Toe-up with Cat B.'s Riverbed Pattern and K,SS,K,P2 cuff.

Sock Blockers

I received my sock blockers today in the mail. I have a busy week planned, but hope to get better pictures of all of my socks. The blockers should help show off socks a lot better.

More of my Sock Blank

Here is a picture of my sock blank now. I am knitting a K2P1 ribbing. When you click on the picure, you will be lead to my sock blank album. I took several pictures, but did not find one that really showed off the colors. I also decided I need a sock blocker. I have one on order, and will probably take more pictures of my socks.

Missed a Pair of Socks

When I posted all of my socks, I missed one pair.









I've been told this is a Princess Pattern, because the bottom of the socks are Purled.

Two socks at the same time on Circulars

This post is for those that have wondered about knitting two socks at the same time. This will work doing two sleeves at the same time as well.



There are two balls of yarn. You can use both ends, but I just found it easier to use two seperate balls. Yes they do get tangled. The most dificult so far is casting on, and then moving the yarn so they follow the same direction. My ribbing is K2P1.



When you look closer, one of the two circulars has an orange color. I used a Sharpie to color one of the two so that I can tell them apart. This helps to tell the two needles apart, and easier to know which side you are knitting.

Socks

Here are my first "Pair" of socks. They are knitted with Baby Alpaca with a twist. They were knitted in the round with two #2 circulars. For those that wonder, yes they are warm to wear.
